How picks work

Your answers run through a simple, open scoring function in your browser (picker.js) over our catalog (tools.json). Points for matching your project type, skill level and needs; penalties for going over budget or needing more coding than you have. Every result shows its score breakdown.

Prices

Each price links to the vendor's official pricing page with the date we checked it. An automated job rechecks pages weekly and flags changes. If we couldn't verify a price, we say "unknown" rather than guess.

Money

Some vendors run affiliate programs. Where we join one, we may earn a commission if you sign up through our link. Commissions never affect scores, and tools without affiliate programs (like Cursor or Claude Code) are recommended just as often.
